Transition Stage

I finished my internship at GPB. It was a bittersweet ending. During my last week, a dozen people were laid off. I worked with many of them, so it was sad not to see them my last 2 days. I don't know, maybe change will be good, but it's said to see people lose their jobs for that to happen.

I'm not sure what I'll be doing now. I applied for GPB's Apprentice Program. It's like being a freelancer. I wouldn't start until September though. For the rest of the summer, I'm hoping to be an extra in this Lifetime series called Drop Dead Diva. I filmed 2 days a few weeks ago. It was so much better than the Tyler Perry movie. So much more organized, and a really cool set. It's a law office. If I was a lawyer, I'd love to work there! I hope I can do this for the rest of the summer. But it's in Peachtree City which is a drive.

I've been thinking a lot recently about seeing people I know be successful in the entertainment business. There is one person in particular. I did not know this person very well but they are doing well in the acting world right now. There is a show they are guest starring on that I would kill to get a part on. Envy is bad I know, but it's hard to not feel. I was in the same position as this person 7 years ago and now I'm not. I can only hope that I can be where that person is now some day.

Man, I have a headache right now. I think I get them at the same time everyday. It gets old. Well, we'll see when I update this again since it was last month when I wrote something.
